Christopher Angell is a partner in the firm’s Personal Planning Group.  He has been a partner of the firm since 1977.  Mr. Angell concentrates in estate planning, administration of trusts and estates, planning for charitable giving and philanthropy, and organization and representation of family foundations and other tax-exempt organizations.  He represents high net worth individuals and families, including owners of private businesses, U.S. citizens residing abroad, and foreign investors holding assets in the United States.  He serves as a trustee of various trusts established by clients and their families.


Mr. Angell is a director of Bessemer Trust Company and its affiliated trust companies.  He is a Trustee of Johns Hopkins University and serves on the Advisory Board of the Bioethics Institute of Johns Hopkins University.  He is president of The Emily Davie and Joseph S. Kornfeld Foundation, which makes grants in the fields of medical research, health care, medical ethics and public education.  He is a member of the Board of Directors of Henry Street Settlement.  He has previously served as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Perry Ellis International, Inc.
