William Gaske represents a wide variety of nonprofit, tax-exempt organizations, including arts, social service, civil rights, environmental, educational and religious organizations, private foundations and public charities.  Mr. Gaske advises those organizations on many different matters, such as initial applications for federal income tax exemption, corporate structures and governance, state registrations, filing and tax exemptions, corporate sponsorships, unrelated business income tax, charitable contributions and solicitations, review of federal tax returns, and other tax, corporate and general legal matters.  Mr. Gaske represents clients before the Internal Revenue Service in matters involving audits, private letter rulings and requests for technical assistance and assists clients with matters under review by the New York Attorney General’s office.
