Patterson Belknap Webb & Tyler LLP is ranked #3 overall and #1 among New York-based firms on
The American Lawyer’s 2008 “A-List” of leading law firms in the United States. The firm is one of just four firms to be in the top 10 every year in which the “A-List” has been published. The “A-List” is based on four criteria: pro bono performance, associate satisfaction, diversity of lawyers and financial performance.
The American Lawyer considers the “A-List” firms to be the “top tier of elite firms.”
Patterson Belknap's Co-Chair and Managing Partner, Robert LoBue, stated, “The ‘A-List’ criteria reflect our firm’s core values - excellence in the law, attorney satisfaction, diversity and
pro bono commitment. We are proud to continue to be ranked in the top 10 and pleased that these values continue to be recognized.”
Patterson Belknap also continues to be ranked in the top 10 of
The American Lawyer’s newly released annual
pro bono survey. For the last four years, 100% of the firm’s lawyers participated in
pro bono projects. The firm has ranked in the top 10 of the
pro bono survey since it began in 1999. Ranking #3 overall this year, the firm was first in
pro bono among New York-based firms with an average of 125
pro bono hours per attorney.
