David Slarskey

David Slarskey is an associate in the firm's litigation department.  From 2005 to 2006, Mr. Slarskey served as a Law Clerk to the Hon. I. Leo Glasser, United States District Court, Eastern District of New York.

From 2010 - 2011, Mr. Slarskey served as Secretary to the New York State Bar Association's Task Force on the Future of the Legal Profession.  The Task Force's report is available here.

Representative Matters

General Commercial Litigation
Secured a $20 million arbitration award, upheld on appeal, in connection with a dispute over patent sublicensing rights.

Complex Commercial Litigation
Representing financial guarantor in actions against sponsors of mortgage-backed securities transactions.

Legal Malpractice
Obtained dismissal, upheld on appeal, of a complaint against a multinational law firm, alleging legal malpractice in the preparation of a $100 million estate plan. 

Obtained dismissal for a multinational law firm of a claim for legal malpractice in connection with complex environmental insurance and reinsurance claims.

Real Estate Litigation
Recently obtained judgment on behalf of co-op shareholders in a derivative suit against co-op directors for breach of fiduciary duty, waste and conversion.

Representation of shareholder in dispute with co-op board over refusal to approve a transfer of shares.

Representation of condominium developer in construction defect and related litigation.
