Biography

Angela Redai is an associate in the firm’s Art and Museum Law, Corporate and Intellectual Property departments. 

Ms. Redai represents artists, galleries, art dealers and advisors, private collectors and art organizations on a variety of matters, including the commission and fabrication of artwork, consignment and private sale transactions, the preparation of an artist’s catalogue raisonné, and artists’ rights and intellectual property.  She supports clients in a range of industries with their intellectual property needs, including trademark and copyright registration, licensing, privacy policies and terms of use, and software as a service (SaaS) agreements.  She also advises on intellectual property and data privacy components of corporate transactions.

In her corporate practice, Ms. Redai focuses on venture capital and private equity acquisitions, dispositions and strategic portfolio investments in the technology, retail and new media sectors, for clients that include a $5 billion investment firm and Fortune 500 media company.  Ms. Redai advises early stage companies on formation, financing and general corporate matters, and drafts and negotiates a wide range of commercial contracts.  Before joining Patterson Belknap, Ms. Redai practiced at an international law firm, representing companies and financial institutions in cross-border M&A, capital markets, private equity and venture capital deals.
