The firm represented a global alternative energy company in its Chapter 15 cross-border bankruptcy case in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York.  After obtaining recognition of the debtor’s Orbit’s U.K. insolvency proceeding as a foreign main proceeding, our team successfully petitioned the court for the return of over $28 million held in a U.S. bank account by the debtor’s Orbit’s ultimate parent company.  The debtor’s Orbit’s creditors are slated to receive a full recovery of principal plus statutory interest on their claims.
