Daniel Eisenberg is an Associate in the Firm's Litigation Department, where he represents clients in complex commercial litigation and criminal justice matters.  This past year, he was a member of two successful trial teams.  The first team won a bench trial against U.S. Customs concerning improper tariffs levied against our client’s importation of a revolutionary HIV drug.  The second team reached a record-breaking settlement on the eve of closing arguments, following a two-week jury trial, on behalf of the estate of an incarcerated person who died in a New York State prison.

In addition to his work as a commercial litigator, Mr. Eisenberg serves on the Monitoring Team for the Newark Police Division, which is responsible for overseeing the Newark Police’s compliance with a Consent Decree of police reforms with the U.S. Department of Justice.  He also represents non-profit organizations, such as museums and charities, in connection with government investigations, and advises large institutions on compliance with U.S. sanctions law.

Mr. Eisenberg’s pro bono work has been recognized by Asian Americans for Equality and the Alliance of Families for Justice.  Prior to joining the Firm, Mr. Eisenberg clerked for the Honorable Robert P. Patterson Jr. of the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York.
