Firm Achieves Tenth Consecutive Year of 100% Pro Bono Participation
Patterson Belknap Webb & Tyler LLP is pleased to announce that 2013 marked the tenth consecutive year the firm achieved 100% attorney participation in pro bono matters. Our attorneys' work has earned recognition from Legal Aid Society, MFY Legal Services, Inc., New York Lawyers for the Public Interest, New York Legal Assistance Group, Legal Services of New York and many other providers of free legal services to low income New Yorkers. The firm was also named one of 20 exceptional Pro Bono firms for 2013 by Law360.
Over the past year, we worked on a broad range of law reform and individual cases in the areas of, among others, death penalty, human rights, special education, housing preservation and homelessness, disability rights, foster care reform and civil rights. Our attorneys work with individual clients on a daily basis to resolve legal issues that would otherwise leave them and their families homeless and without critical services and housing. Our legal advocacy makes a significant difference in our clients’ lives and often influences legislators to address problems that affect hundreds and sometimes thousands of similarly situated individuals in New York City and beyond.
