Firm Achieves Victory in Patent Litigation Dispute for Major Electronics Manufacturer

On March 13, 2023 the firm secured a significant victory for our client, a leading manufacturer of electronics and technology products, when a patent infringement lawsuit was dismissed. The plaintiff, Audio technology company inMusic Brands Inc., alleged that our client’s sale of analog-to-digital turntables infringed inMusic’s patent. Judge Alvin Hellerstein of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York found that the disputed technology, involving a turntable that converts analog audio to digital, doesn’t qualify for protection, and granted our motion to dismiss.
