Implications of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002 for Not-for-Profit Organizations

April 23, 2003

On Monday, May 5, Laura Butzel, partner EO group discussed how The Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002 is intended to address the recent corporate abuse of Enron, WorldCom and others. While it does not by its terms apply to not-for-profit organizations, many of its themes are relevant for not-for-profits. In addition, it may become a source of best practices for corporate governance for all entities. Our seminar will cover a range of issues relevant for the not-for-profit organization.
