June 30, 2014

Patterson Belknap Webb & Tyler LLP ranked seventh on The American Lawyer’s 2014 “A-List” of 20 leading law firms in the United States. The 2014 “A-List,” which has just been announced, is based on four criteria: pro bono performance, associate satisfaction, diversity of lawyers and financial performance. The American Lawyer considers the “A-List” firms to be the “top tier of elite firms.”

Patterson Belknap's Co-Chair and Managing Partner, Lisa E. Cleary, stated, “The values that the ‘A-List’ reflects – excellence in the law, attorney satisfaction, diversity and pro bono commitment – have always been at the heart of Patterson Belknap’s core values. A great deal of the credit for our firm’s presence on the ‘A-List’ this year and in the past goes to our associates. Their hard work and thoughtful insights on behalf of all of our clients and their commitment to pro bono work make all of us very proud.”

The firm continues to be ranked among the top ten firms nationally on The American Lawyer’s annual pro bono survey, this year at number seven nationally. For the last ten years, 100% of the firm’s lawyers participated in pro bono projects.
