As a counselor, litigator and trial attorney, Mr. Lehrburger represents both plaintiffs and defendants in a wide range of commercial and intellectual property matters. His intellectual property work includes false advertising, trademark, copyright, patent and trade secret matters. On the commercial side, he handles alliance, licensing, financial and other complex business disputes.

Skilled in the courtroom, Mr. Lehrburger’s experience includes jury trials as long as seven weeks and bench trials as short as one day. Mr. Lehrburger also is a veteran of alternative dispute resolution through mediation and arbitration. He also provides cogent and practical counseling on advertising claims and substantiation, trademarks and the like.

Mr. Lehrburger's work spans an array of industries including financial instruments, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, consumer products, quick-serve restaurants, music and publishing, computer software, the internet, sports and others.

He has written and lectured on intellectual property and litigation topics ranging from deceptive advertising on the internet to domain name cybersquatting to trademark issues lurking in song titles and lyrics. He has been quoted in the media as an authority on licensing and related IP issues.

While serving pro bono as a Special Assistant to the New York City's Corporation Counsel early in his career, Mr. Lehrburger won three jury trials in three months. He also has served as a mediator for the Commercial Division of New York Supreme Court and arbitrator for the Council of Better Business Bureaus.

Mr. Lehrburger has been active in firm management for many years. He is currently a member of the Management Committee, Co-Chair of the Hiring Committee, and a member of the Diversity Committee. He is a former member of the Risk Management Committee and the Litigation Associate Evaluation Committee.
