Peter Harvey Named a New Jersey Law Journal “Distinguished Leader”
Firm partner Peter C. Harvey has been named a “Distinguished Leader” by the New Jersey Law Journal. A past Attorney General of New Jersey and a former federal prosecutor, Mr. Harvey advises corporate and individual clients in commercial litigation as well as sensitive internal and government investigations. He also serves as independent monitor for the Newark Police Department (NPD). In this role, he is responsible for overseeing the NPD's compliance with a Consent Decree issued by the U.S. Department of Justice. The New Jersey Law Journal states that its Distinguished Leaders “continue to be the strongest of advocates, demonstrating clear leadership skills—as lawyers, managers, scholars, and members of the professional community.”
Mr. Harvey was previously named among the “Most Influential Black Lawyers” by Savoy Magazine (2015) and "Private Practitioner of the Year" by the Metropolitan Black Bar Association of New York City (2012). He is a Co-Chair of the Firm’s Diversity Committee and of the Firm’s Patterson Attorneys of Color affinity group.
