Wolete Moko is an Associate in the Firm's Corporate department, where he represents clients in a wide variety of transactional matters.

Prior to joining the Corporate department, Mr. Moko was an Associate in the Firm’s Litigation department, where he represented a financial guarantee insurer in fraud and breach of contract claims against originators and sponsors of mortgage-backed securities; represented a major medical device company in a patent infringement action involving surgical products; represented a global healthcare company in connection with internal and government investigations relating to potential FCPA and compliance issues; and served on the Independent Monitoring Team for the Newark Police Division (NPD), responsible for overseeing the NPD’s compliance with a Consent Decree between the City of Newark and the U.S. Department of Justice, among other matters.

Mr. Moko maintains an active pro bono practice. Recently, he has prepared and filed an amicus brief in the Second Circuit on behalf of a national organization for criminal defense attorneys in support of the Federal Defenders concerning the right to counsel and successfully represented a Chapter 7 debtor in a student loan discharge case.
