On September 19, Partner Alejandro Cruz will speak at the American Bar Association's Fall 2024 National Legal Malpractice Conference. Mr. Cruz will be joined by Tammy Chang (Senior Claims Specialist, AXA XL) and Thomas Brown (Managing Director, Berkeley Research Group) to present a program titled "Anatomy of a Law Firm Ransomware Attack: An Interactive Simulation." The program will feature a detailed walkthrough of a cyber extortion event at a fictional law firm, addressing the legal, technical, and ethical issues that arise in law firms and more generally in the wake of these attacks.
