On Thursday, March 27, Partner Geoffrey Potter will be speaking at Michigan State University's Center for Anti-Counterfeiting and Product Protection's 2025 Brand Protection Strategy Summit. Mr. Potter will join Kerri McAleavey (Brand Protection, Roche Diabetes Care, Inc.) for a session titled "A Case Study: Stopping the Sale of Counterfeit and Illegally Diverted Medical Devices." This session will offer an in-depth discussion of a legal action brought simultaneously in the U.S. and in India that successfully stopped the sales of hundreds-of-thousands of counterfeit and wrongfully diverted authentic blood-glucose test strips and lancets that were being sold by Indian businesses to unsuspecting U.S. Patients. Attendees will learn how they can harness the full power of U.S. trademark law to protect their customers and valuable brands.
