On Tuesday, July 25th, Harry Sandick, Melissa Ginsberg and Diana Conner will present at the New York City Bar Association's Annual Post-Conviction Capital Defense Training Program. This CLE program is intended for law students and attorneys who are currently representing or are interested in representing death-row inmates in post-conviction proceedings. It will include (i) a presentation on habeas corpus that is designed for beginners, (ii) a presentation on current trends and issues that is designed for seasoned practitioners, (iii) a review of recent Supreme Court decisions, (iv) a presentation on developing mitigation evidence in post-conviction cases, (v) a presentation on intellectual disability and mental illness in capital cases, and (vi) a presentation on ethics issues in post-conviction litigation.
