On December 3 and 4, Partners Thomas Kurland and Rachel Sherman will be speaking on panels at the American Conference Institute's 2024 Drug & Medical Device Litigation Conference, the premier event for the Products Liability and Multi-District Litigation Defense Bar.

Thomas Kurland will speak on a panel titled "AI v. ASSOCIATE: Rethinking the Role of AI in Legal Practice and Trial Strategy" on Tuesday, December 3 at 11:00am. Mr. Kurland will join Bill Childs (Assistant General Counsel, Litigation, Solventum), Kunoor Chopra (Chief Strategy Officer, Cloud Court, Inc.), and Davis M. Walsh (Partner, McGuire Woods) to explore the effectiveness of artificial intelligence in formulating litigation strategies by comparing its analysis to that of a human law firm associate.

Rachel Sherman will speak on a panel titled "Ethics Lab: Avoiding Ethical Compliance Traps in Drug and Medical Device Litigation" on Wednesday, December 4 at 3:30pm. Ms. Sherman will join Adam Bassing (Head of Global Litigation, UCB, Inc.) and Patrick Ryan (Associate General Counsel, Employment & Litigation, UCB, Inc.) for an interactive session exploring attendees' approaches to ethical dilemmas using hypothetical situations.
