On May 17, 2023, litigation Partner Thomas Kurland will participate in a panel entitled  "Nemeth and Beyond: An Expanded Discussion of the Past, Present, and Future of Expert and Causation Evidence in New York" at the New York City Bar Association.  Mr. Kurland will be joined by other New York-based lawyers and judges to discuss how the New York Court of Appeals’ April 2022 decision in the case Nemeth v. Brenntag North America, which addressed the admissibility of scientific causation evidence in asbestos cases, has since impacted toxic tort litigation in New York.
