Kabir Hashmi is an Associate in the firm’s Litigation Department, where his practice focuses on complex commercial disputes, advertising litigation, law-firm defense, and government and regulatory investigations. Mr. Hashmi counsels a wide variety of clients – including Fortune 500 companies, officers and directors, private individuals, as well as not-for-profit organizations – facing high stakes disputes. Mr. Hashmi has experience at all stages of litigation, from pre-litigation investigation and risk assessment, through trial and appeal. 

Mr. Hashmi qualified as a Barrister at Law in the United Kingdom as a Member of the Honorable Society of Lincoln’s Inn. He previously clerked for Chief Justice Qazi Faez Isa of the Supreme Court of Pakistan. 

Mr. Hashmi collaborates with colleagues across practices and maintains an active pro bono practice.

  • Representing a major pharmaceutical company in connection with federal, Congressional, and State investigations related to the development and manufacture of its Covid-19 vaccine.
  • Represented a major cosmetics and dietary supplements companies against putative class action claims of false advertising.
  • Represented a Fortune 500 pharmaceutical company in a multimillion-dollar dispute concerning alleged breaches of a manufacturing agreement and fraud.
  • Represented a Fortune 500 pharmaceutical company in a multimillion-dollar dispute concerning pharmacy benefits and patient assistance programs.

  • Representing Legal Aid Justice Center against a government agency to resolve a dispute regarding Medicare and Medicaid.
  • Represented a former Special Envoy to Monitor and Combat Anti-Semitism, U.S. State Department, in a dispute with a global investment bank involving an unfair dismissal and an investigation into the Bank's conduct.
  • Represented a disabled individual before the Social Security Administration seeking social security benefits.
